Welcome, I am a textile artist, educator, traveller, researcher and writer.  My main focus for the past 45 years in all those pursuits has been silk.  How silk is “raised”, how the fibre is released from the cocoon, how different cultures work with silk thread and fabric and how I can work with silk as an artist and educator to show its amazing qualities and share my love affair with this miraculous fibre from a humble caterpillar.
